Are you a member of the ticklish mob? If you are you're probably nervous about getting massage because you might have a painful or spasmodic experience. I have good news. Massage is possible! By working very slowly and with the tissue of your body it is easy to prevent the tickle sensation and give you the relief you deserve. Compression without movement will help your muscles accept the pressure and slowly start to open up to the wonderful massage experience. Give it a try! I bet I can convert you to massage even if you never thought you could handle the tickle sensation.

Women and the pectoral muscles
Why do women have sore shoulders? A lot of the time, it's because they neglect the complementary muscular region on the front of their torso. These are the pectoral major and minor muscles. By doing simple light massage on these muscles, it is easy to release not only the shoulder and scapular regions, but the pectoral regions as well.
Massage for those who want to relax
Sometime, I work on people who just want a simple Swedish massage. A massage that just feels good. But, as I work on the client, I can feel that they need more. Maybe it's in their hamstrings. Or probably in their back. I feel they need more deep work to get at a trigger point. Or, may be an entire region of tension. I try to work slowly to address the problem...not just to make them feel good. It seems like clients are always happy when I don't just listen to their voice. I've got to listen to the the tension I feel in the person's body.
